A 16-year-old British teenager has filed a complaint that she was raped by a 28-year-old Pakistani national in the toilet of a bar in Malia on the island of Crete.
The teenager was spending vacations in the area with her parents and it was in fact her mother who filed the complaint to local police.
The girl said that the incident happened on Wednesday night while she was out with her parents and that the Pakistani man had attacked and raped her while she was in the toilet, media reported.
Police have launched an investigation, apprehended the suspect and handcuffed him early Thursday afternoon.
According to local media cretalive.gr, the man admitted that he was in the same bar as the girl but denied all rape charges.
He told police that the two flirted with each other and they had consensual intercourse.
Police investigation continues, while the 28-year-old suspect remains in custody insisting on his version of what had happened.
