Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis sent a clear message to the new leadership of North Macedonia, stressing that if it does not fully comply with the provisions of the Prespa Agreement, then the country’s path to the European Union will remain closed
The Greek government will not ratify the remaining three Memoranda of Cooperation in the Parliament, the PM added.
Mitsotakis’ warnings came a day after the new prime minister of North Macedonia and leader of nationalist VMRO party, Christian Mitskoski, insisted on using the term “Macedonia,” instead of the country’s constitutional name, following the steps of North Macedonia’s new president, Gordana Siljanovska.
