A Greek driver was shot and arrested by Turkish police at the Ipsala border station in Evros on Tuesday, Turkish authorities authorities have announced.
According to the announcement, the driver hit and injured a Turkish national riding a motorcycle at the border station.

Then the Greek driver allegedly exited the vehicle and approached the Turkish police officers holding a sharp object, the announcement said adding that Turkish police stated that they fired two warning shots into the air before shooting him in the leg and arresting him.
The Greek driver was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
The injured Turkish national was also taken to the hospital with no life threatening injuries.
The Turkish authorities have informed the Greek Consulate in the area about the incident.
According to Greek media information, the Greek driver had psychiatric problems and was advised by the Prosecution Office of Edessa, northern Greece, into a psychiatric clinic last June.
