The Christmas Holidays 2024 extended shop hours in Greece, ware scheduled to start on upcoming Thursday, December 12, and run until the end of the year, December 31.
According to the holiday schedule, retail stores will be open from Monday to Friday from 9:00am-9:00pm, and on Saturdays 9:00am- 6:00pm.
For supermarkets, you better check locally.
Shops Open on Three Sundays
Stores also have the option to open on three Sundays, that is December 15, December 22, and December 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Retail stores and supermarkets will be closed on December 25 and 26, on January 1 and 2 as well as on January 6.
Usually supermarkets are open until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and not all of them follow the advice to open on three Sundays around Christmas.
