Six Planets Parade: Visible with Naked Eye also in Greece, Jan 24-25

A rare phenomenon and an amazing sky show on Saturday, 25. January 2025 as six planets line up in the night sky! Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus will all be visible with naked eye also from Greece.
On January 25, Mercury will also join the line-up for a short time.
You can easily see Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn with your eyes, but you’ll need a telescope to spot Neptune and Uranus. The best time to watch is around in Greece is 10:30 pm or 8:30 pm UTC, just after sunset.
The planets will be visible between East and South and  South -West.

How rare is really the phenomenon?
“Planets always appear along a line in the sky, so the “alignment isn’t special,” NASA’s Preston Dyches wrote. “What’s less common is seeing four or five bright planets at once, which doesn’t happen every year.”

  1. I think 10:30pm is too late to be the “optimum viewing time” from Greece. Saturn will set below the horizon around 20:57 followed by Venus around 21:25 and then Neptune around 21:53 so they will no longer be visible at 22:30. To get all the planets in the sky at the same time it would be best to go out at 20:30 or possibly a bit earlier if your horizon to the west/south-west is obscured by hills as mine is.

Mars, Jupiter and Uranus are quite a distance in the sky from Venus, Saturn and Uranus and they will be visible through past midnight so it would be better to view those later when the sky is darker.
