Parades lead to traffic regulations on public and private transport in Athens

Traffic regulations will be put into effect on the metro and the tram due to the parades for the celebration of the National Anniversary of March 25.

Specifically, according to an update from managing company STASY:

– The “Syntagma” Metro station, by order of the Greek Police will be closed on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 March from 08.00 in the morning until the end of the parades and trains will pass through it without stopping.

– On Tram Line 7 “Asklepieio Voulas – Aghia Triada Piraeus” on Tuesday 25/3 from 09.00 until 14.00, the routes will have the terminal station at the “SEF” stop (Asklepieio Voulas – SEF) and from 11.00 until 13.00, the “Paleo Dimarchio” (Paleo Dimarhio – SEF).

Note that also buses and trolley buses will change their routes due to the students and Armed Forces parades on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

At the same time, traffic will be halted and parking will be prohibited in in downtown Athens.
