Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been tested positive for Covid-19, his office said on Wednesday. The Prime Minister has very mild symptoms and has been in his office since this morning, his office said.
He is diagnosed with Covid-19 a day after he attended the big military parade in Thessaloniki on the anniversary of the 28th October national holiday and met and greeted many local dignitaries.
At noon on Wednesday, he participated in the cabinet meeting via video conference.
Later he will reportedly attend a scheduled event at the National Defense Ministry wearing a protective mask, since it will be held in an open space.
