PM Papademos: Important Achievements of Greece’s New Government

Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos giving account for the work of the first months since the new three-party government came into power, seems content about the achievements. In his blog (!), Lucas Papademos writes that within these 20 days, the broader bipartisan government, which creates conditions of a national cooperation government, secured the release of  the sixth aid tranche by our European partners and the IMF , and passed the state budget of 2012 by a large majority of 258 votes.

“If implemented, this budget will fundamentally change the financial picture of the country and lay the ground for a gradual recovery starting next year,” Papademos worte.

Papademos concluded his short essay, writing that the government effectively implements the measures contained in the [austerity] programme.

PS At least, someone is content in this country *sigh*
