  1. 75% cuts on top officials payrolls and benefits might not save the economy , but should be the first test of the morals of these people.

  2. I think the confrontation has just started.

The new Greek government is full of over-confidence about renegotiation of the loan terms. If they have not thought of a first response from Germany would be “No”, then they are not fit to rule.

The only question is, what is Samaras’ next offer after the “No”?

      • Does anyone really think that Samaras gives a fuck about Greece? His primary concern is Samaras. That is obvious from his entire personal history. Politics is merely theatre — like a hobby, acting out being prime minister. It was the same for Papandreou,

Until Greek people learn about the concept of meritocracy, and putting competent people into jobs at all levels, Greece has no hope.

I recommend relocating Samaras to run a Pizzeria in northern Greece, called “My name is not Macedonia”.

          • got the right word now: MERKELOCRACY! And yet with some wine (merikokrassi) if necessary to swallow it down

          • Hmm, I don’t think so. Those people have no merit, even if they have some Merkel.

A barrel of ale is not enough to swallow those stinking fish.

          • The Greek state/society system defies easy categorisation. Some suggest kleptocracy, others mediocracy, now we have your ineptocracy. All we need is Chryssi Avgi’s contribution to make a thugocracy…

One word that has NEVER been used to describe it is meritocracy!

  3. Habemus Government or Greece Got Talent?

Finally Khalif instead of the Khalif. Finally his name engraved in the annals of history. Finally his all overriding personal interest satisfied… Lord have mercy on us and this poor country and make that something good comes from this.

    • It’s a special incense prepared for Greek governments, derived from the corpses of working class Greeks. It is thought to have special invigorating qualities, since the politicians have never had any contact with work or the workers.
