It was a super jack pot for Joker lottery. Thousands of Greeks tipped 5+1 with media reporting that more than 20 million Joker columns were filled. But the winner was only one. While media and the public is keen to find out who is the super lucky one, the winner has allegedly not claimed his 15.5 million euro yet.
The winning lottery ticket was bought in a betting shop in Vrachneika village in the old Patras-Corinth national road in north-west Peloponnese. The ticket cost was just 2.50 euro and the lucky numbers were randomly selected by the shops’ computer.
Lucky numbers: 10, 27, 28, 31, 38 Joker number 3
Speaking to the media, the betting shop owner said that the winner might well be a driver who was just passing by.
Five other people won €193,000 each for having tipped the 5 lucky numbers but not the Joker.
This is certainly a nice Christmas rain even if 10% goes for taxes.
PS I thought, one raises the chances if one pays more than 2.50 for a lottery ticket. I paid a total of 12 euro for 3 different tickets. all I got right were just 2 numbers. I was totally wrong in my assumption. And the computer in Vrachneika is some 250 km away from home 🙁
haha imagine if you get that cash in greece and you can’t send it out! What to do with all that money in GR? Bank stocks? = ) Buy a lot of property at auction? But then you’ll have a lot of tax to pay! Keep it in the bank account? Very risky in Greece as you’ll be first in line for a ‘haircut’
I guess you can finance trips outside with the credit cards you’ll get from Greek banks!

Before bringing your numbers you should leave the country and get a second passport. If that’s not working steal a speedboat and escape with the money to Italy.
