It is the 11of of June and summer refuses to settle in. Greece’s national Weather Service issued a weather warning with rainfalls, hail and stormy winds.
June 11 2-17: The bad weather front will initially affect Macedonia, Thessaly, and gradually the whole mainland except Thrace in North-East, eastern Peloponnese. Also the Sporades islands and Euboea and likely the islands in the Ionean Sea.
Rainfalls and rainstorms are expected in the evening on the Cyclades islands.
Cloudiness on Crete, the islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea and the Dodecanese.
Attica and Athens: increasing cloudiness, rainfalls and rainstorms in the evening, mostly in the North and the West.
Temperatures across the country up to 25 – 27 degrees Celsius.
Winds up to 6-7 Beaufort.
The weather is expected to improve as of Monday, June 12 2017.
Temperature is expected to rise in the middle of the week. In Thessaly and other parts of Central Greece are expected to rise up to 35 and locally up to 37 degrees Celsius.
