Heartwarming message of solidarity to Greece from far-away Austria. Firefighters in Newtown in New South Wales send a message of solidarity not only to their Greek colleagues but to all Greeks and especially those hit by the deadly wildfires in Attica this week.
A sign of solidarity posted on the wall outside the fire station of Newtown.
“Our hearts and our prayers with Greece,” the message reads.
Hardly has ever a message of Greek words written in English letters touched our hearts.
In a post on Facebook, the fire fighters in Newtown wrote:
“We are thinking of everyone being affected by the fires in Greece.
Big respects to our brother and sister firefighters doing their best to save and protect those in need.
#prayforgreece”
