Greeks protest Culture Minister at Europa Parliament (video)

Protests against Greek politicians are continuing in Greece and abroad and last ‘victim’ was Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Geroulanos. He was attending the event “2,500+1 years after the Marathon Battle” at Europa Parliament in Brussels, when members of  Belgian Solidarity Committee with Greeks raised a banned saying: “EU &  IMF Barbarians, Listen Up – Peoples of Europe are Rising up”.  The protest was directed against the government plans to open a landfill in Keratea area, in southwest of Attica basin. The group not only denounced the ongoing police presence in the town of Keratea but also that the landfill is going to cover some archaeological sites, as well.

Solidarity Initiative to the Greek People  is an initiative led by a group of Greeks living and working in Belgium, accompanied in their efforts by people of various nationalities residing in Belgium; people who understand the importance of the current struggle in Greece, and the implications it will have to the society in the near future in Europe and the world.
