… SURPRISE!.. He is not at all a member of the Greek parliament! He is just a businessman who happens to be the husband of former Foreign Minister and now leader of a small centre-right party (Democratic Alliance), Dora Bakoyanni. €
Speaking to the press, an obviously angry Bakoyanni said that she received a phone call by chairman of the MP’s assets committee at the Greek parliament who told her it was her husband Isidoros Kouvelos, who had brought one million US-Dollar abroad.
According to Bakoyanni, this amount comes from the sale of shares in the USA, it was transferred to Greece and then again to a bank in London for the purchase of a ship.
“It is perfectly legitimate business” Bakoyanni said and complained about “irresponsible attempts to stain her name and to cover up those who indeed brought their money abroad.”
Dora Bakoyanni spoke of “farce” and “fiasco” in relation of the recent revelations by the chairman of an independent authority against money laundering, who spoke of a member of the parliament who deposited abroad one million euro.
One-Million-Euro Fantasy…
Kouvelos’ money transfer took place in March 2011. Bakoyanni described as “unacceptable” all this talk about the business venture of a man who is not MP and she reminded that her husband’s’ and her tax declaration are known to the public. (To Vima)
The revelation triggered strong reactions and raised question-marks as to why the chairman of the authority against money laundering had spoken of one male or female MP.

Whatever it is, she is rich.
