Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras flew to Brussels on Wednesday morning and meet with the heads of the Three Institutions , EC Jean-Claude Juncker, ECB Mario Draghi and IMF Christine Lagarde. The meeting is reportedly scheduled for 1 pm local time (2 pm GR time).
The Tsipras-Institutions meeting takes place after the three creditors asked him for more clarifications and changes in Greek proposals. The three wanted the meeting to take place before the Eurogroup convenes at 8 pm tonight.
Greece’s creditors are keen to strike a deal with the country on the verge of official default as the deadline of June 30th for payment to IMF is ticking like a bomb.
Citing “EU sources” foreign correspondents in Brussels report that the “Eurogroup may work all night in order to reach a deal with Greece.”
or not….
PS I see already the euro area finance ministers fall asleep over the negotiations table.
Investigative journalists like from Guardian, Spiegel and NYT have funds to research the most expensive bordellos in Brussels why they don’t have time to read proposals.
