As the situation in “comments” category is getting out of control, I ask you: DO YOU WANT ME TO BAN COMMENTS ONCE FOR ALL? Last time, I allowed delirium nonsense and insults against each other. And I will not do editing, I will send comments to Trash right away.
I wrote once in a rather popular blog in portugal, let me tell you around 25% of the comments went straight to the trash bin…
Bravo sou! That offer of lunch is still on…
Could you lay out the rules a bit more explicit?
2 of my comments were deleted and I still do not know what violated the house rules, so to speak.
surprise !
I’ve haven’t had any comments deleted sor far that I know.
I think it’s fair that a simple outline of comment rules are set and followed by the commentators. It will be much easier for you to moderate as well.
Personally I like the Guardian’s rules for comments.
Sorry for getting off topic in a reply to Giaourti earlier today. Some on this board make it very hard to stay rational and engage in a civilized exchange of minds.
While I still believe that “nuking Berlin”, as suggested in an earlier post, might not be seen as acceptable solution to the Greek crisis by some, I promise that I’ll do my best not to react to such postings in the future.
A funny fact: while British, German, Swiss and other media (and of course Mr. Sinn) failed to convince me that the best route for Greece would be out of the EUR, I’m moving more and more in this direction with every day I follow this forum and the comments. Would be interesting to know if it has such effect on others as well…
Giaourti does not represent any Greeks other than himself and he is a bit out of this earthy world.
BTW: this is NOT a forum, it’s a blog with news that allows its readers to post a comment & have a discussion/debate/chat/quarrel with each other.
And that’s why we are here and not just following some news aggregator. Keep it up KTG!
🙂
You work for TUI and Greek family run hostels are still too expensive to steal-buy away, right?
Using Merkel’s Orwellian – taught by Stalin – meaning of “reform” is nuking Greece the barbarian civilised way day by day but on the other hand you’re right Drachma would be nice to keep away people with money who are blood-thirsty for making even more money and are also anti-European enough to call themselves “foreigner” trying to cause some tears and unearned compassion in an ugly attempt.
I guess this is the way you clean up your “boards” to silence the killing fields.
But I’ll run for president to get nukes for revenge, may be I’ll use the 550 billion war reparations that the stupid Jerries forgot to pay after their Wiedervereiterung to run the program with help from Persia or so; cheap oil they have also.
Giaourti for President! YOWWW
“are also anti-European enough to call themselves “foreigner” ”
Does that make xenos anti-european too ?
C’mon, find a Greeklish converter and paste the then Greek letters into a translater
Right before leaving in July 2 on a road trip for the long weekend, I posted 2-3 comments. In one of them, for example, I shared my positive impression and mixed thoughts after I watched Varoufakis’s interview on Bloomberg.
In any case, I am pretty sure I have kept the discussion civil. To my surprise none of these July 2 comments were published. If I personally am not welcome to comment on this site (for whatever reason) it will be good to know, so that I do not waste my and moderator’s time.
no idea . I assume sometimes comments land into ;spam; section + disappear for ever + ever.
