Main opposition party, conservative New Democracy has gained immense support when compared to the ruling left-wing SYRIZA. In a public opinion poll conducted by the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki for private Skai TV the results are:
New Democracy 27.5%
SYRIZA 17.5%
Golden Dawn 7.5%
PASOK 5.5%
KKE 5.5%
Centrists’ union 3.5%
Independent Greeks (ANEL) 2%
To Potami 1.5%
Invalid/White 7%
Abstain 17%

numbers in black boxes are results of poll conducted by the same institute 27-29 June 2016
Far-right Golden Dawn seems also to have gained around 1% -1.5%, when compared with previous polls.
Coalition government partner ANEL continues to be at risk of entering the parliament as so is liberal To Potami. Both parties seem to have lost 0.5% – 1% when compared to previous polls.
To the question “which party do you believe that it will win in next elections?” 52% answered New Democracy and 18% SYRIZA.
81% estimates that “things move to the wrong direction” and 85.5% are dissatisfied with the government – among them 72% of SYRIZA voters.
PS with such assets stripping, cuts in pensions and zero options for development & growth, no wonder that SYRIZA voters are disappointed.
wrong direction! and nea dimokratia will move things in which direction?
more decades of mitsotakis? the greek voters brains have been rotted by those televisions that people keep on all day in their houses…very sad.
the only hope are the 35% who don’t even merit a space on the graphic of voters…
ND were no angels but they cannot be worse than SYRIZA. They would have never told EU to shove it like SYRIZA did, regardless of their mistakes in the past.
The Greeks are paying in a big way from SYRIZA. Don’t forget, under Samaras, GDP started growing again slowly slowly, before people listened to SYRIZA fantasies, and made GDP fall, which it still is doing so 1.5 years after SYRIZA!
