Happy New Year 2017 with Greek Carols

Did you hear the door bell ring at 7 o’ clock in the morning? It was the kids singing the New Year’s Carols. Yes. Because Santa Claus – Agios Vassilis – comes to Greek kids on New Year’s Eve.

Basil of Caesarea, also Saint Basil the Great and Ἅγιος Βασίλειος or just Αη Βασίλης in Greek was bishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia, Asia Minor (modern Turkey).

He lived from 329 until 379.

He was also known for his care of the poor and underprivileged.

I hope, Agios Vassilis and the New Year 2017 will bring you presents, joy, health and happiness.

I hear by many people that <2016> was a horrible year.

For me personally, the most horrible year of the last decades was 2015.

Get ready for the challenge!

Don’t ask what is happiness. Just live the precious moments. Every year.
