Venus statue discovered in Thessaloniki during metro construction works

An impressive statue has been discovered during archaeological excavations at the construction work of Metro in Thessaloniki. Among the more than 300,000 findings is the headless statue of goddess Aphrodite. The statue was found at the construction works area of  the metro station <Agia Sophia>, very close to the Krinaio building.
