Netanyahu talks with leaders of Greece and Cyprus on gas pipeline

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades on Wednesday. The three leaders talked about regional issues and “advancing the examination into the possibility of laying a gas pipeline from Israel to Cyprus and from there to Greece and western Europe,”  Netanyahu’s office said.

In a statement, the Greek prime minister’s office said Tsipras and Netanyahu talked about the upcoming trilateral meeting as well as about development sin the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East.

Tsipras, Anastasiades and Netanyahu exchanged wishes for a Happy Easter/ Passover and and said they were looking forward to their joint meeting in Nicosia on May 8th.
