Greece’ National Meteorological Service warns of a bad weather front with snowfalls even in Attica, strong rainfalls and storms, sharp temperature drop and frost. The February weather scenery will be accompanied by gale-force powerful winds up to 10 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.

Snowfalls on the mountainous and semi-mountainous areas of mainland and Evia. As of noon at the mountainous areas of Crete as well as in lowlands of Macedonia, Thrace, islands of the North Aegean.
As of afternoon, snowfalls in East Sterea, North Attica and Evia.
Locally, snow will be partly heavy.
Thursday, Feb 14
Snowfalls in Thessaly, Central and East Stere, Evia, Peloponnese (mainly East) and mountainous areas of Crete.
As of afternoon, the phenomena will weaken and be limited in the East and the South.

Gale-force winds
Powerful North-East winds up to 8-9 Beaufort on Wednesday.
Wednesday afternoon and Thursday winds in the Aegean Sea will reach 10 Beaufort.
Winds will weaken as of Friday morning.
Be aware that authorities halt sea traffic when winds blow with intensity above 9 Beaufort. If you plan to travel by sea, contact local port authorities and travel agents.
