Sea traffic has been disrupted and many ferries remain docked at Greece’s ports due to stormy North-East winds blowing with intensity of up to 9 and even 10 Beaufort.
The schedule of passenger ferry “Dionysios Solomos” from the port of Piraeus to the west islands of the Cyclades was cancelled on Wednesday noon.
Ferries scheduled for the Cyclades islands and Marmari, Evia remain docked at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio.

No traffic between Paxi, Megara, and Faneromeni, Salamina.
Closed to sea traffic are also the straits Agia Marina-Nea Stira, Halkitsa-Edipsos, Kavala-Prinos and Alexandroupolis-Samothraki.
Routes between Kyllini-Zakynthos and Kyllini-Kefalonia are up to ship captains to decide whether they will set sail.
Passengers planning to use the sea way today, Wednesday (Feb 13, 2019) and tomorrow Thursday, (Feb 14,2019) are advised to contact local port authorities and travel agencies.
