Syntagma Square in downtown Athens will be sprinkled with Hollywood dust and glam when the film set for “Born to be murdered” will be staged over the weekend and close main avenues to traffic.
The film is adaptation of the mystery novel with the same name, written by Elinore Denniston aka Dennis Allen in 1945.
The plot is about an American tourist on Greek vacation who falls victim to a conspiracy.
The leading role has John David Washingotn, the 34-year-old of Denzel Washington.
Italian director Ferdinando Cito Filomarino has has decided to make the complete filming in Greece. The main venue will be the smart city of Trikala, while other shootings will take place in impressive rock formation of Meteora in central Greece.
The American style action movie is expected to be released in 2020.
Traffic regulations around Syntagma Sq on Sunday, March 10, and Monday, March 11: from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Closed will be part of Stadiou Avenue from Amerikis Str to Syntagma sq, the whole Vassileos Georgiou Avenue as well as the Sytnagma Square.
