A mother and her two children aged 9 and 10, were pulled out of a car that fell off a cliff in the region of Rethymon Prefecture, Crete, on Tuesday.
A woman was reportedly driving between Sisses and Aloides, when she lost control of the car that plunged into an 80-meter deep cliff.
Other motorists who were driving behind the family car call the ambulance and the Fire Service.
In an operation that lasted several hours, rescuers from the Fire Service EMAK managed to pull the woman and the two children out of the car. The woman was unconscious.
The children, a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 10 suffered slight injuries and a hospitalized.
The 47-year-old mother was injured more seriously with several fractures. Doctors are optimistic about the development of the woman’s health condition.
