Antetokounmpo donates basketball court in memory of Mati wildfire victims

Giannis Antetokounmpo made a gesture full of symbolism that proves his social sensibilities and the close relationship he maintains with Greece.

The 24-year-old Greek Freak and Milwaukee Bucks star donated the construction of a baskeball court in Rafina, East Attica.

the donation has been made in the memory of the victims of the wildfire in July 2018, Rafina-Pikermi Mayor Evangelos Bournous revealed on Sunday.

The closed basketball court will be constructed in a three-acre ecological park near the police station by the Blue port.

the court is to be named after its generous donor.

According to local media information, the court is just one of a series of actions Antetokounmpo plans to materialize when he returns to Greece after the end of this year’s basketball season.
