“Religious courses should be more attractive to pupils,” says Education Minister

Minister of Education & Religion Niki Kerameos seem to have a top priority: to make religious courses more attractive to school children.

“There are two decisions of the Council of State from 2018 that have ruled the studies program is  unconstitutional. Of course, our duty is to apply the decisions of Justice,” Kerameos said during an interview with Skai radio.

“We are therefore studying the framework that has been shaped, our intention is to fully comply with the judgments of the Justice, and I have to tell you here that we have a parallel goal, and that is to make the Religious lesson more attractive for students,” she added.

“I say this because we have big feedback by both teachers and pupils who tell us that the religious courses need to be improved in terms of teaching, to become more attractive to pupils,” the Minister said.

PS As if all other problems in the troubled Greek Education system were solved…. But it sounds logical. When other countries make math, physics, computer science more “attractive” with a view to the future, in Greece we can make miracles and prayers more “attractive” to kids for the Kingdom after death.
