Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY warns of radical weather deterioration with sharp temperature decrease, rainfalls, thunderstorms, hail and strong winds.
The cold weather front will sweep across the Balkan Peninsula on Thursday and Friday, September 19-20, 2019. It will initially affect North and Central Greece. Significant temperature decrease that will reach even 5 degrees Celsius, mainly in the North and East Greece. In the remaining mainland, Western Greece and the island sin the Aegean Sea temperature will not change significantly before Friday.

Rainfalls and thunderstorms, strong winds and locally hail falls initially in North Greece: Macedonia – mainly Central Macedonia -, Thessaly and the Sporades islands as of Thursday afternoon.
Friday, Sept 20, 2019
The phenomena will extend to East Sterea, as to Eastern Peloponnese as of the noon time.
Rainfalls and thunderstorms will stop in Macedonia as of the noon time.
They will gradually weaken also in other regions as of the afternoon.
Fact is that the bad weather front seems to be of short duration, just like the bright weather on Wednesday with temperatures up to 36 degrees Celsius.
According to available weather data, sunshine and slight temperature increase are forecast for Saturday and Sunday, Sept 21-22, 2019.
