Authories are on alert due to the parental abductions of a 2.5-year-old girl, Athina Hijazi, from Palaio Faliro suburb of south Athens.
According to an Amber Alert issued on Sunday, September 22, 2019, Athina Jijazi was abducted by one of her parents in Palaio Faliro at 06:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019.
The girl has black eyes and hair. She is 0.96 meter tall and has a weight of 14 Kg.

According to a report by Star TV, the father said that he did not return the girl to the mother because he was arrested by police for violating the Foreigners’ Law. He said that the girl was by his brother and sister. He blamed his wife for knowing all this and that she turned to authorities and the child charity in order to take the girl to Syria.
