The Greek Exporters Association (SEVE) presented the trademark logo of the Greek products form the Macedonian region in northern Greece on Thursday. With the logo Macedonian products will have a copyright in European and international markets.
The trade mark “M – MACEDONIA THE GREAT” will be the protection umbrella for all the Macedonian products, SEVE President Giorgos Konstantopoulos stressed. It may be added to Macedonian products and services across the world.
“M” and “GR” will be in bolt in an effort to add another distinction form from products of North Macedonia.
According to graphic designer Stratos Tsahpinis, they choose “C” and not “K” for the logo as it has much more results in Google Search.
Last month, the hell broke out social media and political level, when the Prime Minister proposed that Greek products from the said region will be marked as from “Makedonia.”
The logo is to be immediately submitted to the European Union Intellectual Property Office of the European Union.(EUIPO) for registration.
