Greeks glorified Canadian singer Bryan Adams on Monday in his first live concert in Athens after 27 years. A unique music experience that only Bryan Adams can offer. However, the concert was almost cancelled after the organizer went bankrupt over the weekend.
The concert was one of the most anticipated gigs of the year. The excitement was mutual. Both the singer and the audience renewed their … love oaths.
Adams thanked his fans also with a Tweet:
Greeks wanna rock!🤘🏻🇬🇷❤️ Thank you for such an amazing reception in Athens, great singing! #bryanadamsshinealight #athensgreece #itcomesfromthegreek @ ATEHNS https://t.co/Fnlr9jrOxS

If it wasn’t these dark clouds that left Brian Adams without payment, as Greek media report.
Last week, the organizer company had announced that due to financial problems it was unable to hold the event and cover the cost.
Another company jumped in, the Greek ticketing service provider Viva, and saved the face of Greece.
In a statement, Viva reportedly said:
“In order to avoid the cancellation of the concert and thus the risk that neither consumers nor those who have worked for it will lose their money, Viva decided to bear the costs and in conjunction with a new organizer the concert was to take place normally.”
At the same time Viva added that it has taken all legal actions against the original organizer for “breach of its obligations.”
Viva accused the organizer that it “had received all revenues from the tickets sales but used them for its own benefit instead, leaving the artist and the people who worked for the event unpaid,” news247.gr reports
PS According to my personal experience, Bryan Adams gives excellent live concerts. No matter what! 🙂
He is Heaven…
