The Acropolis of Athens and the Acropolis Museum were the most visited archaeological sites and museums in Greece the first eight month of 2019, Greek Statistics Authority said in a report. The ELSTAT lists the 5 top museums and sites based on the revenues.
Total revenues increased by 28.2% in museums and 9.4% in archaeological sites. The number of visitors to the museums in the country recorded an increase of 5.4%, while the number of visitors to the archaeological sites increased by 2.5%.
Based on the revenues, ELSTAT listed Greece ‘s five top museums and archaeological sites in the visitors’ preference, such as:

However, free admission visitors to museums declined by 0.8% and by 6.5% to archaeological sites.
