An earthquake rattled the island of Zakynthos (Zante) in the Ionian Sea with magnitude 4.6 R early Friday evening. Several seismological institutes reported the earthquake magnitude also with 4.9 R
The epicenter was in the sea area, 23.8 km South-West of the island.

The focal depth of the earthquake was at 10 km.
The tremor shook the island at 7:49 p.m. and lasted just a couple of seconds.
The earthquake was felt also in western Peloponnese.

According to media reports, nobody was injure, no material damaged occurred.
