Poll: 90% of Greeks approve Gov’t handling of migration crisis and Erdogan

The overwhelming majority of Greeks endorses the government’s migration policy, according to a public opinion poll published on Sunday. 90% of Greeks approve the closure of borders and the internationalization of the issue.

According to pollster “Opinion Poll” conducted on behalf of Sunday newspaper Proto Thema

90% of Greeks believe Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the government have responded right to Erdogan’s blackmail.

Question

Do you believe Mitsotakis and the Greek Government reacted right to Erdogan’s blackmail, closing the borders and proceeding to international initiatives?

78% Yes – 12% Rather Yes – 6% No – 3% Rather No – 1% don’t know

In the same poll 81% of respondents (68% Yes, 13% Rather Yes) gree with the toughening of the migration policy followed by the government.

62% of respondents disapprove SYRIZA’s stance on the “Evros situation.” 29% approve.

In the vote intention, respondents said that they would vote for:

New Democracy 38.8% – SYRIZA 20.8% – KINAL 4.5%  – KKE 5% – Greek Solution 4.5%  – MeRA25 2.7%.

PS tempted to question the question that throws togeteher 3 different aspects of the current problem in 1: “Erdogan” (whom Greeks hate), border closure, diplomatic initiatives.
