A 16-year-old Afghan teenager has died after he was stabbed by a 20-year-old compatriot outside the hotspot of Moria in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
The severely injured boy was rushed to the hospital of Mytiline but died on the way there. Doctors could only pronounce him dead.
The victim was living with another five members of his family in a tent outside the main camp of the Moria Identification Centre (RIC) on the island of Lesvos.
Violent clashes broke out within the areas for juveniles in the camp after the news of the boy’s death reached Moria. Four minors were injured, two of them seriously. They are hospitalized.
Clashes occur often in the overcrowded camp, however they reach the media when somebody dies.
