A group of 50 refugees – including 16 unaccompanied minors and 34 adults – departed Athens international Airport Eleftherios Venizelos on Monday morning for the United Kingdom.
Adults and minors are to reunite with their families.
The relocation was arranged during talks between Alternate Migration and Asylum Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos and UK Undersecretary for Immigration Compliance Chris Philp .
Koumoutsakos and Philp signed a Greek-UK Strategic Action Plan for cooperation on tackling migration.
130 Greeks currently stranded in London due to the lockdown measures will be returning to Athens with the return flight.
