Asylum Service of Greece will resume full operation as of Monday, May 18, 2020, the Ministry of Migration & Asylum said on Friday.
In order to keep social distancing, half of staff will come to work and the rest will work from home.
All measures of hygiene will be in full force to prevent coronavirus infections.
Migration Minister Notis Mitarakis, said that all residence permits held by refugees are extended for another six months from their date of expiration.
Aim of the extension is to prevent the Asylum Service from becoming inundated by renewal of applications.
