Greece’s National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued a weather warning with main features be powerful rainfalls and thunderstorms, locally hail falls and gusty winds.
Rain and thunderstorms are forecast to start as of Monday noon, June 1, 2020, and affect both the mainland and the Aegean islands. The weather warning is valid also for Tuesday, June 2. However, the weather will remain unstable until the end of the week.
There is a high probability of hail-fall in the Aegean, in Central and Eastern Macedonia, in Thrace and more generally in the mountains of the central and northern mainland.
