Coronavirus fatalities in Greece reached 200 on Wednesday after three patients died within a couple of hours. All three patients were hospitalized and of advanced age.
A 75-year-old woman passed away in AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki in the afternoon. She was the third victim during the day.
Earlier a 85-year-old man died in the hospital of Mytilene on the island of Lesvos and a 90-year-old man also in AHEPA, Thessaloniki.
The patient on Lesvos had contracted COVID-19 from visitors from northern Greece. His son is still hospitalized in Intensive Care Unit, while also his grandson has been infected.
According to official data on Tuesday, the number of total coronavirus infections have reached 4,048.
A total of five patients died in the last 24 hours.
