Slowly but gradually temperature is rising in Greece, and a heatwave with up to 41 degrees Celsius is just outside the door. A slight rise of temperature is forecast for Tuesday, July 28, with very hot air masses to move from the western Mediterranean towards Central Europe in general and Greece in particular.
the peak of the heat wave is forecast for Thursday and Friday, July 30-31, 2020.
At the same time, the meltemi, the north summer winds, in the Aegean sea will continue to blow strong, with intensity reaching 7 Beaufort locally, in the eastern Cyclades and the Dodecanese. The Meltemi is expected to weaken as of Wednesday, July 29, however, it will be still have an intensity of around 5 B.
