Greece’s Civil Aviation Authorities issued a new notam on Wednesday, extending travel bans and restrictions to several European and Balkan countries and to non-EU countries as well as the requirement for a mandatory negative molecular PCR test for flight passengers from specific EU countries. the extension is valid until August 31. 2020.
The notam aims to protect passengers and residents of Greece from a rise in new coronavirus cases, the CAA said in a press release.
Here are the notam regarding the flight bans and restrictions and the mandatory PCR test:

All exceptions are still valid.
In addition, the CAA said the ban on entry of non-EU citizens is extended through August 31, except for the following countries’ passengers, who will be able to travel to Greece:
Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and United Arab Emirates. Proof of residency will be required.
The usual exceptions are provided.
Note that measures and restrictions are usual extended or revoked every two weeks.
Greece has been experience a resurgence in coronavirus cases since July and the situation in August is cause of concern for epidemiologists.
Is the date 7/8 for Swedish Citizen really valid or should it be August 17?
sorry, it was typo. Measure August 17-31, 2020.
I am from Serbia and citizens of non EU Balkan countries are highly discriminated. People from countries with higher reemerging infections such as Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and others are allowed to come to Greece, even if they have to take a PCR test. Why can’t people from non EU Balkan countries do the same? You can even retest them at the border. Most infections in Greece now come from Greek themselves, attending church processions, going to clubs and restaurants, etc. All the while, their own public institutions acting inadequately (also when it comes to natural disasters). Even this Greece’s Civil Aviation Authorities cannot even come up with the news item in English.
I have come to Greece for many years but when the situation returns to normal, I will go somewhere else to spend my money.
