Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday, the death of 63 Covid-19 patients in the past 24 hours. New coronavirus cases are 2,422 and the number of intubations hit another record reaching 443.
Total cases have reached 78,825 and death toll 1,228.
For a Tuesday, that is a day where normally infections form the weekend are added, the new infections are relatively not very high.
According to information, the situation in regional units (per 100,000 people) has developed in the last 7 days as following:
Attica: Stable
Thessaloniki: slight decrease
Increase: Pella, Grevena, Drama, Florina, Kilkis, Serres

Health authorities have said that the lockdown could be start to partially be lifted when daily cases reach 500.

According to the official daily bulletin on Tuesday, 4685(5.9%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 20225 (25.7%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are whiteout known source.
53.8% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs increased to 443 !!! from 400 day earlier. Their average age is 65, among them are 143 women. 81.5% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
392 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Sixty-three more deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 1228. Of the deceased 502 were women. The average age of the deceased was 80 and 97.2% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.

Total tests since begin of outbreak are 2,182,189.
Tests in the last 24 hours: 23,054 with 10.11% of them positive. A good, normal number with less reason for concerns is when positive is below 2%.

Of the 2422 new coronavirus cases, 6 were detected at the country’s entry points.
6 of the new cases were detected at entry points; another 0 travelers already in the country sought laboratories after they developed symptoms.
