Greece’s Air Traffic controllers, safety mechanics on strike Nov 25-26

The Greek Air Traffic Controllers Association (EEEKE) and the Union of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Mechanics (ENHMAEK) will be staging a 24-hour strike and workouts  on November 25-26 2020. The two workouts are scheduled for Nov 25 and the strike on Nov 26, both unions said in a joint statement.

Air traffic controllers will walk out next Wednesday from 06:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by the mechanics, who will walk out from 12:00 noon to 06:00 p.m. on the same day.

On Thursday, the strike is for 24 hours.

Both unions are protesting the restructuring of the country’s Civil Aviation Authority under new legislation, and delayed salary payments.
