Click Away service back in operation on Jan 11, says Commerce Secretary

The Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Panagiotis Stampoulidis, said on Tuesday, that the Click Away service will be back in operation on Monday, January 11.

Speaking to Mega TV, Stamboulidis said that the click away has been suspended for a week in order to create a safe environment in terms of the pandemic so that schools can re-open again.

The suspension of Click Away aimed at reducing mobility and expand the “health space” so that schools open safely, he said.

He added that “on Monday the market will operate again as during the holidays.” He did not elaborate on whether in addition to click away service for retail stores also bookstores, hairdressers, nail salons and KETO will open again next week.

Yesterday, the Education Ministry announced the reopening of elementary schools and kindergartens on Jan 11, after almost two months.

Secondary education schools will open at a later point and after epidemiologists evaluate the impact of the Christmas and New Year mobility on the course of the pandemic.
