Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday evening 638 new coronavirus cases and 25 more deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country has increased to 276.
Death toll has reached 5,997 and the total cases stand at 164,584.
In the aftermath of the weekend, again there were thousands of fewer PCR and Rapid tests.

According to the official daily bulletin 6045 (3.7%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 52595 (61.0%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
51.9% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 276 from 262 a day earlier. Their average age is 70, among them are 198(71.7%) men. 85.9% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
1,169 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 25 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 5997. Of the deceased 3525(58.8%) were men. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.6% of them had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.

4 of the new cases were detected at entry points, plus 3 more travelers were already in the country.
