Coronavirus intubations rose to 346 in the last 24 hours, Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday. New daily cases are 880 by much fewer tests due to Sunday. Another 24 Covid-19 patients lost their lives.
Death toll has reached 6,321 and the total cases stand at 180,672.

President of the National Vaccinations Committee Maria Theodoridou said on Monday that the vaccination program has positive effect in older generations. Decrease of the epidemiological load to elderly has been already observed she said.
She stressed, though, that it is important to observe the protective measures especially in care structures.
Greece received on Monday another 112,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine; last week 24,000 of Moderna and 90,000 of Astrazeneca.
Health authorities predicted that a total of 1.5 million inoculations will have been carried out by March.

According to the official bulletin on Monday, based on the confirmed cases on the last 7 days, 43 are related to travel abroad and 2399 are related to already known cases.
The released data do not allow any more the clues about the rate of infections without known source of contamination.
51.8% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 346 from 326 a day earlier. Their average age is 70, among them 67.3% are men. 85.5% have underlying health problems and/or are aged over 70.
New admission of Covid-19 patients to hospitals are 264 (daily change +1.93%). Average number of admission in 7 days: 233.
Average age of infected is 44 ( age range 0.2-105).
1280 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 24 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 6321. The average age of the deceased was 79 (age range 16-103). and 95.7% had underlying health problem and/or was over 70 years old.
