Blinken: NATO must keep Turkey close despite differences

The NATO alliance can emerge stronger after period of internal divisions and must keep Turkey at the heart of transatlantic ties, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday.

Blinken said that, despite public differences with Ankara, the United States and NATO had a strong interest in keeping Turkey anchored in the alliance.

“Turkey is a long-standing and valued ally,” Blinken told an event at NATO headquarters, saying it was also in Ankara’s interest to remain in the alliance. [reuters]

  1. The alliance should remove Putin and acquire a democratic Russia and then remove Turkey instead who has been a thorn against the nation who founded the west for generaitons.

America acting like a spurrned lover enabling Turkey’s unlawful and bellicose confidence is as crazy as Trump who trades capital or economic intersts over principle.

America should remove Turkey from NATO, it is the next frontier seeking to challenge the west. Those who held holocausts or genocides are against Greek and Western principles are still irresponsible with economic or military power as well as laws.
