Greece’s health authorities announced on Thursday 439 new coronavirus cases and 15 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals Intensive Care Units stands at 256.
The data on the Delta variant that alerted the country’s authorities will be posted separately.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 419,909 infections (daily change: +0.1%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 38 infections are related to travel from abroad and 595 to other confirmed cases.

51.2% of the infected are men.
There are 15 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, the total of pandemic victims to 12,613. Of these, 95.5% had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.
A total of 256 Covid-patients -from 271 a day earlier – are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 67 years. 65.2% are men. 82.4% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or more.
2,639 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
65 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +30%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 59.
The median age of new infections is 43 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).

I have applied twice to the Greek gov. to request a temp ANKA card for vaccination. No response. Is there anything else I can do?
write to the uk embassy in athens every singlre day day! it is an outrage!!!!! then leave greece if they don’t fix it ….if we have to do this every year we are off!
