Greece’s Fire Service and the Civil Protection have issued a warning of wild- and forest fires due to high temperatures and strong winds. The warning is for Friday, July 9, 2021.
According to the warning, at Very High Risk (Risk Level 4) are the following regions:
Attica
Sterea: Viotis, Evia, Fthiotida)
Peloponnese:(Corinth, Argolida, Lakonia
North Aegean: Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Ikaria
South Aegean: Cyclades
Crete
Level 4 regions are marked Orange and those at “high risk” (Level 3) are marked Yellow.
The Civil Protection urges citizens to take all protection measures, avoid outdoors fires and works that could cause sparkles and call Fire Service <199> in case they see fire.

The summer has just started in the northern hemisphere and all these fires, high temperatures (even within the Arctic Circle!), drought. But of course global warming and climate change don’t exist. Hahaha.
