Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday 2,125 new coronavirus cases and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospital Intensive Care Units has increased to 342.
At the Live Briefingon Monday, health authorities said that the vaccination against Covid-19 and the seasonal flu can take place at the same time. Note that flu vaccination has been prescribed since October 1.
According to health authorities, the regions with the highest Covid-19 vaccination are:
the islands: Mykonos, Santorini, Milos, Paos, Kos, Tinos
as well as: Athens (North and South regions), Piraeus, Heraklio

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 663,433 infections (daily change: +0.3%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 90 infections are related to travel abroad and 2897 to other confirmed cases.

There are 36 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, the total of pandemic victims 14,956. Of these, 95.4% had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.

A total of 342 Covid-patients – from 332 a day earlier – are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 66 years. 62% are men. 80.1% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or more.
According to EODY among the intubated patients:
304 (88.89%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated
38 (11.11%) are fully vaccinated

3,180 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
138 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -15.34%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 161.

The median age of new infections is 39 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
