Police raid anti-vaxxers shop “Ministry of Remedies” in Arachova

Greece’s police, finance and health authorities raided a shop run by anti-vaxxers in noble winter resort of Arachova, in south central Greece. The shop has been in operation since a month and a half and had the name “Ministry of Remedies.”

The store was opened by a group calling themselves “Guardians of the Constitution” who claim to have all constitutional rights to defy any measures, rules and the state’s legal provisions against the coronavirus pandemic, and that no state institutions had authority over them that would include imposing of fines.

The group is organized with uniforms, uses religious and ancient Greek slogans like “Holy” declaration and the old Spartan “Come and Get it!” and behave as if they were police.

Last week, four members of the “Guardians of the Constitution” awere arrested after they made control into a facility carrying out Rapid tests in Thessaloniki. they claimed they were police officers and demanded the operation license of the facility. The owner called the police.

The group has been in the news since last week, however, authorities did nothing to stop them, so far, despite the recent law punishing those spreading fake news on the pandemic.

In the last few days, TV broadcasters reported about the “Ministry of Remedies”-store on the main road of Arachova and had the manager claiming that local authorities confirmed to them “the state had no authority on them” and that everything was “legal.”

The anti-vaxxers group has been claiming all the time that they do not accept control by any government institution.

The store has been selling some kind of ‘remedies’ made of herbs and seeds as well as stones with “positive energy.”

Tuesday morning, police officers and teams from the finance and the health ministries paid a visit to the shop to check if the store is operating legally and reportedly detained the store manager.

The “Guardians of the Constitution” claim in a video they uploaded on social media that “there is no law for Covid here,” while they even offer a free Rapid test, as stated on the relevant entrance sign of their COVID CLEAN shop as they call it.

Furthermore, they claim that all products are “Tax Free” and payment is made only with money they have invented the “Credit Coins.”

Tuesday afternoon, the mayor of Arachova told media that from the very first moment he denounced the store to authorities and the reaction came in the morning. “The store is now closed,” mayor Giannis Stathas announced adding that four people have been detained.

All four people of the store have been taken to police station, including the manager or “minister of remedies” who has been removed from her …post.

The woman, a native speaker of English, who has been living in Arachova in the past few years has told MEGA TV that she runs a total of six ministries across Greece with one of them being on the island of Samos. She had moved to Arachove from the island of Ikaria, the mayor said.

According to media, in March 2020 they were promoting a spray claiming that it was “vaccine against Covid”. In November 2021 they claim that the virus does not exist as there is no evident proving otherwise.

The “Guardians of the Constitution” reportedly operate mainly via Facebook where they have established several anti-vaxxers groups, exchange information, organize events and  often upload video with nationalist content. They claim to be “Constitution police.”

In the recent past, members of the group filed lawsuits against teachers demanding millions of euros because “they force their children to wear masks.”

The lunatic “Guardians” are linked to fraudster Artemis Sorras who was claiming to be able to pay Greece’s debt during the economic crisis with non-existing bonds and stocks and thus in exchange of political power.

PS the question is, of course, who is financing this anti-vaxxers group providing them with uniforms and special vehicles, paying lawyers’ costs for lawsuits and  the usual high rents in Arachova – not to mention the other 5 ministries…
